This picture impress me. That not easy to capture this bird while flying. I appreciate the image because it's more than picture of a bird, it tells me a nice story. It really convey the impression of a fleeting moment, a magic and soft encounter.

I like the composition, with the head on a strong point. The cut wing is not a problem. The tone palette is beautiful. The yellow and orange spots brighten up nicely the background. The background just behind the bird is interesting because it reinforce the impression of a "surprise". The subject seems to emerge from the vegetation.

But some technical aspects annoy me a little bit. I cannot see a sparkle in the eye, and the light on the bird is too high. Also, this light is too strong on the right section of the picture, it's a little bit distracting. this last aspect might be corrected with a postprocessing ... To be tried if you like.

Anyway, that's an interesting shot, with a soft mood. Good job!
